Kari Dunn Saratovsky
Kari Saratovsky, Founder and Principal of KDS Impact Strategies, is a trusted and entrepreneurial philanthropic leader. She specializes in leading organizations through crises, helping leaders clarify and advance their mission, engage supporters, and build teams and systems that are adaptive and able to keep up with increasingly complex global environments. Most recently Kari was the President and CEO of the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston, a position she assumed after leading the Jewish community’s historic response to Hurricane Harvey. Prior to the Federation, Saratovsky served as a Principal at Third Plateau Social Impact Strategies, helping establish the firm as a leader in advising mission-driven organizations to develop high-impact strategies, systems, and teams. Kari worked as Vice President of Social Innovation at the Case Foundation and served as Executive Director of the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation, a White House initiative to support and expand volunteer service throughout the country and around the world. Kari writes and speaks on emerging trends in the social sector and is co-author of “Cause for Change, the Why and How of Nonprofit Millennial Engagement.” Kari recently moved back to the Greater Washington, DC area where she resides with her family.
