We are delighted to join our friends at Ohr Kodesh Congregation for a special Pride Month lecture with Dr. Joy Ladin, Ph.D. Dr. Ladin is the author of The Soul of the Stranger: Reading God and Torah from a Transgender Perspective and Through the Door of Life: A Jewish Journey between Genders.

Dr. Ladin is a teacher, essayist, poet, and literary scholar. She holds the Gottesman Chair in English at Stern College for Women at Yeshiva University. She is a nationally recognized speaker on transgender issues and on gender and Jewish identity. Dr. Ladin has been featured on the NPR program On Being with Krista Tippet and gave a TedX talk entitled Ain't I a Woman?
