This weekend, our friends at the Federation is partnering with local organizations for virtual and in-person opportunities to make a difference!
They write:
Since 1986, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day has commemorated and celebrated Dr. King’s life and commitment to civil rights. Today, it is also the only federal holiday designated as a national day of service to encourage volunteering and civic engagement.
MLK Day of Service 2022 also happens to coincide with the Jewish holiday of Tu B’Shevat, an ecological awareness day often marked by planting trees!
Join Federation partners from January 14th – 17th for virtual and in person opportunities to make a difference for our community. Together, we can act as a force for good in the world, with projects for people of all ages across DC, MD, and Northern VA.
By mobilizing in common purpose, we can inspire, build, and sustain our collective future and meet the evolving needs of our community.
