HIAS is inviting communities to join up to meet with members of Congress. During these August Recess meetings, the aim is to impress upon Congress the urgency and importance of ensuring the rights, safety, and dignity of refugees, asylum seekers, and those with humanitarian parole.
Along with grassroots leaders from across the country, you'll meet with your local members of Congress when they visit their home districts in August, to discuss current refugee and asylum issues and demonstrate the ongoing commitment of their constituents to work for a more welcoming country.
After you sign up, HIAS will provide talking points and everything else you’ll need to set up your meetings. You’ll also have the opportunity to join a virtual training on July 27 to learn more.
Join HIAS advocates to make the United States a more welcoming place for people to call home.
