Rabbi Aderet will be leading a virtual Yom Kippur service at B’nai Israel Congregation. Our experience is rooted in the Yom Kippur liturgy and Torah reading as we immerse in the themes of the day and engage in a practice that increases our awareness to what is real and true for each of us as we experience the sanctity and beauty of the Day of Atonement. We begin with a D’var Torah (a teaching) that frames the guided meditation that follows, offering us an opportunity to not only quiet our minds, but also enables us to be as awake as possible to our lives during this liminal moment. We then come together for a contemplative Yom Kippur prayer experience.
