Sophie Farwagi

Communications + Operations Associate

Sophie is a dynamic and approachable multilingual marketer who thrives on creating genuine connections with teammates, clients, and community members.

Originally from Beirut, Lebanon, Sophie moved to the DC area at fourteen and has since lived in Paris and Montréal. Recently, through a DNA test, Sophie discovered her Jewish descent, sparking a profound journey of learning about Jewish culture, history, and values. This revelation has led her to explore what it means to be a Lebanese-born Jew today. She feels deeply honored to be part of the Den Collective, contributing to its mission and purpose.

Sophie's professional journey spans academic institutions, nonprofits, real estate, and childcare, equipping her with a human-centered approach to customer service, workplace operations, and conflict resolution. In addition to her marketing, social media, communication, and administrative expertise, Sophie speaks French, English, German, and Lebanese Arabic fluently and has a keen interest in learning more languages.

Residing in North Bethesda with her partner, an energetic rescue lab, two mischievous cats, a fish, and an ever-growing collection of snake plants, Sophie enjoys a vibrant personal life. In her free time, she loves reading, baking, practicing yoga and Pilates, and indulging her passion as an amateur Titanic historian, which involves collecting numerous books, replicas, and memorabilia.
